Dragon Con 2024 is a WRAP…
Whew. It was a marathon and possibly one of my best Dragon Con’s ever.

I kept getting the year wrong during the con but I think this is Dragon Con number #11 (officially at least). I started going in 2012 and I’m missing 2020 (for obvious reasons).

Anywho… This was my 2nd time being able to stay at a host hotel and I got to share it with my awesome Playstation party. Shouts out to Power of Friendship (GVNG GVNG)!

We got to bring the homie Letif out for his first Dragon Con and I’m happy it was a good one for him. In fact you can check out his photo dump RIGHT HERE!

I didn’t make good on my goal of checking out more official con events and panels this round but honestly Dragon Con often is best as an exercise in randomness where you allow yourself to collide with whoever you collide with in the moment wherever. No particular track was calling me this year but it worked out perfectly. I spent most of my time at the Hilton Courtyard where it we had some fresh (non-musty) air lol. I checked out the dealer room on the last day where I didn’t have to wait in an insane line. I did miss Car Bar for the first time in forever but I know they’ll be back next year. Still I got to see a TON of familiar faces this year. Missed some of my regular ones too but it’s all good… we’ll see each other next round!

This year, I tried something new that I think I’ll continue doing going forward. I made a broadcast channel on IG which allowed me to reach a large group of people at the same time and let them know my whereabouts. Dragon Con is MASSIVE so it really came in handy when informing a ton of people where the vibes were instead of managing individual threads. It also allowed me to connect people with each other different friend groups that got a chance to meet up and vibe together which is awesome. I’ll do this again when Anime Weekend Atlanta rolls around in December. Originally, I wasn’t going to go but I caved, bought a badge, and booked a room at the Signia. I’ll see you then!
